BB2017 asked Jason R. Hemmings:

Why have you also chosen to write a Sci-Fi book - Teardrop From The Past? What is the inspiration for the story?

Jason R. Hemmings I grew up liking old Sci-Fi movies and books, so I wanted to add my own to the collection. I wrote Teardrop From The Past, due to the decline of society and lack of preservation for our natural world. It is disgraceful what mankind has done to the planet over the last century. So I wrote Teardrop as a Utopian theme, with the demise of the Earth and the perfection of Nouveaux to show the contrasts of old Earth verses the most likely version of the planet in 2197. It was my attempt to hopefully educate people by showing where our lives will probably lead to if the current path remains unchanged. The book is written with enlightening perspectives to suggest that we still have time to be nice to one another and look after our beautiful world call Earth. The irony of the book is that what the Council of Light seek on Nouveaux, already existed on Earth once. I hoped everyone who read the story might learn something before it is too late. The book was challenging to write. It is one of my favourite books.
