Where did you get your ideas for the romantic stories - True Love of Time and Whispers of Wisteria?

Jason R. Hemmings A True Love of Time, was an idea I came up years ago, but only wrote recently. I wanted to do a book featuring time travel. When most people fall in love they tend to be about the same age, however I wanted to show that love is ageless, so I had someone who was old fall in love with someone who was young, then used the time travel to allow them to travel through time together at the same age. I based the story so that the younger character was given the opportunity to spend time through the highlights of Anna's life; the piano teacher and older character. I wanted the story to be set in dreamy locations, in the first half of the 20th century and to have the characters growing old together, with the younger character being enlightened along the journey. I liked adding the surreal elements to the book such as Ella, Anna's mother who appear's as a ghost at times and the whole story set somewhere between Heaven and Earth, in a dream world. The book combined a number of my short stories.

Whispers Of Wisteria, came from an idea from an old 1940s movie I loved, a short story I wrote called Sweet September and a very special home my wife and I owned once many years ago in our old home town, I regret leaving to this day. Everyone in life has regrets, so I based the story on the ultimate regret, losing someone you love. The main character blamed themselves for the loss of their true love, so I had them return to their old home town, to rekindle their lost romance through a number of ghostly appearances by Wisteria. I found a lovely town called Williamsburg, in Virginia to set the story and a beautiful cottage, the couple were planning to buy as their home before the fateful day of May 6th 1922. I thought it was a nice idea to have the chance to repair a mistake, which does not often happen in life and show the austere, saddened main character come back to life as they realise the perfect life and love they already had once.
