The 'Arlo and Jake' SciFi series is pure fun and and adventure. A reviewer called it 'hard' SciFi with a funny bone. Jake is a retired nuclear submariner and software geek (amazingly parallel to my own careers! ;-) who has retired to the beach with his pet chameleon, Arlo.
He's 'conscripted' by a trio of beauties that turn out to be officers on a huge interstellar battleship and they him to join the fight to protect species like humans from some real nasties.
'Genome' is a more serious techno thriller with a paranormal (ghosts to old farts like me ;-) bent. It also features 'PIP', an AI character I'm bringing out in books of her own.
It's set in Boulder, CO, where I grew up. I drew heavily on my 30 years as a software geek, adding spice here and there with the way I always wanted a software company to be. Fun!
