Tanya asked Imogen Keeper:

Hi, I'm the kind of person who finishes an entire series in one shot and I have been eagerly waiting to read broken for a long time so I just wanted to know how many more books will be there in the the plague series?

Imogen Keeper Hey Tanya!

Thanks so much for reaching out. I'm so excited to hear that you've got your eye on plague.

I hear you about series and waiting until they're done. I'm still regretting starting Song of Ice and Fire because I'm not sure the next book is ever coming out. And it is sad and frustrating sometimes.

I'm hard at work on After the Plague #4 which is called Safe and will be released in the next few months.

This will be a longer series. I've got 9 books plotted out so far. BUT to combat that feeling of unfulfillment and frustration for readers--I've plotted them out in 3 book installments--meaning I don't think you really need to wait for the next book to enjoy 1-3 fully. But maybe wait for the release of #6 before carrying on and into #4.

I don't think I end on cliffhangers. I resolve the main issue inside each individual book--but do let a larger question dangle over the course of three books, and clue into the next books main issue at the end.

The end of the third book (Found) finishes with the main overarching storyline from the first three books resolved, and the characters set to embark on the next stage of their journey, which will be the next three books (4-6).

So I hear you about waiting--but it could be a long wait for me to finish ALL the books. And I do think you'll feel satisfied with the ending of the third book, even if you will be ready for the next when the come.

Readers so far have expressed anticipation, excitement and joyous expectations for #4 but so far no one has complained about the wait or told me they felt angry or dissastisfied with where I left the characters.

I hope this helps.

I also share sneaky peeks and behind the scenes information on my process and where I am in the story.

No matter what you decide, I wish you the best. And happy reading. All I ever want is for readers to enjoy my stories.
