I was just . . . really tired one night, and it suddenly occurred to me that every time I had read a book that was called something like, "The Enchanted Palace" or "The Magic Castle" it was really about a regular castle that had a wizard living in it. So I thought, what if you had an actual magic castle? What could the castle do? How would you talk to it? and I just went on from there!

I fell in love with your Princess trilogy as well as Sun and Moon, Ice and Snow...do you plan on doing any more fairytale retellings of that sort? They were actually my very first fairytale retelling novels that I read and I’ve fallen in love with the genre ever since and can’t get my hands on enough of them!
