How much impact do you think the illustrations versus the text had on your book sales?

The biggest factor affecting book sales is discoverability, if no one sees your book it doesn't matter how great it it. Reviews and hype are important too. When it come down to instant appeal, I think the illustrations are decisive. The text is obviously very important but the cover, for example, is crucial. Sorry Gracie for the late response.
