Goodreads asked A.S. Minor:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

A.S. Minor My advice for an aspiring author would be to realize completely that there is no such thing as "wanting to be" a writer. If you write, then you're a writer. That may sound like common sense, but we writers often view "accomplished" writers as somehow different than other writers. That's not true. They've just got more experience in the business realm of writing, but the simple fact is that you're either a writer or you're not. And if you're a writer, then write! There's an old saying, "Write the book that you want to read." So accept the fact that you're a writer, not an ASPIRING writer, and once you do that then you can truly give yourself to the story.
