How do you deal with writer’s block?

A.S. Minor I will generally take time away from whatever it is that I'm writing and read, or watch a movie or even go work on another piece of writing. I believe that authors do not create stories. We're archaeologists, and we'll dig a little bit up and set it aside, and dig a little bit out and set it aside. Once we've uncovered the entire story, we polish it off and display it for the world to see. Bad writing comes from rushing and damaging the story while you're digging it out. Take your time, and do it right.
