Overall impression of book: The history of blue people and pack horse librarians was interesting but I was turned off by the book’s depiction of racism and equating prejudice against ‘Blues’ to racism against blacks. The comparison was unnecessary and wrong. The ending was very annoying and very neatly packaged. I also thought the writing was weak.
