"I'm struggling to get through this one.

In the beginning, I was intrigued and hopeful for some type of 'Captive Prince' vibes, but idk... Like, I don't feel a connection to our MCs, and I don't really care for their dynamic or the jousting events or the court beef....

Lowkey considering DNF-ing it..."

"What I've learned during this reading sesh: martyrdom was lowkey good marketing for orthodox christians. Increasing intrigue and even their numbers.

Also gnostics are still really cool, they side eye Christians that use martyrdom just so they can go to heaven without actually living a honorable life."
