"It's immensely funny how the other gods know that Xie Lian hangs out with Hua Cheng and just don't really care. They'll show up to find him visiting and they might make a comment here or there, but they basically just accept it without question. It really does pay to be the village weirdo, huh?

I'll mark as "read" later; again, I will be posting a single review for TGCF once I complete it"

"Oh thank god I finished this before it got returned to the library again. Solid start, it actually seems segmented at a really good place. However, since this "series" is technically a single novel, I will not be posting a full review (only commentary) or any rating until I complete all installments. I'd rather review them on the whole because that's how the story was written to be read" Feb 02, 2024 05:26AM

“I used to underline passages in my English books, because certain lines crawled off the page, because those lines were magic and they meant something on a cosmic scale.”
Hannah Abigail Clarke, The Scapegracers

Lara Elena Donnelly
“Businesses on the banks of the Heyn, where it flowed behind the theatre district, were as likely to cater to pirates as to penniless aristocrats. Wealthy courtesans mingled with starving artists. The men wore jewels and the women suits and everyone else a mixture of both.”
Lara Elena Donnelly, Amberlough

Amal El-Mohtar
“I want to meet you in every place I ever loved. Listen to me. I am your echo. I would rather break the world than lose you.”
Amal El-Mohtar, This Is How You Lose the Time War

Amal El-Mohtar
“I have built a you within me, or you have. I wonder what of me there is in you.”

“While we were developing common sense, she studied the blade.”
Tamsyn Muir, Gideon the Ninth
