The diarrhea icing on a pooptastic cake was the baby talking authors note at the end of a shitty cliffhanger

The writing style and direction the story is going is meh and not really my cup.. also I got confused Melissa and this Miranda that just popped up. Couldn’t have chosen a diff name??? Also the name of the fmc being the title or whatever

Okay so barely a few pages in & honestly, it’s not terrible writing so far. The story didn’t linger or drag on at the start with her problems, which I appreciated.

I stopped right before she went back to her laptop to look at the lotto numbers though,

I swear, if that weird delay of the lotto announcement later turns out to be bc of some magic/fate BS I’ll be so mad. ESP on the fmcs’ behalf. & just in general

Coming off from rereading one of my most read books; adorn by JL.

I added a few new to my current reads when I started the reread, and only now getting to them.

The blurbs were interesting enough

But…..I don’t have any high hopes or expectations for them being good. 🙏 I’m wrong though. Hopefully there’s a gem or two.

Some of the characters supposedly can’t get therapy for ridiculous and incorrect reasons. One character thought it could be a reason for CPS to take her kids. The other thought it would be a way for her toxic family to take her money.

I don’t know why I keep reading this author’s work. There seems to be something that irritates me every other page.

The author seems to only complain, whine, monologue, over react, or “preach”.
