80 pages of Hark and Silence fighting in an arena then having sex in an alley. And they both stunk of sawdust, dirt, sweat and blood. Yeah, that's definitely how I'd want to smell when I had sex. And, believe it or not, the word "fuck" was used 43 times in his 80 page novella. I'm a potty mouth but even that's too much for me in such a short story.

The Sath equivalent of marriage involved pain and intense trust. To purposefully suffer in tandem was a bond no one could break.

Silent reminds me a lot of Xhex (BDB)

Gladiator-style fighting in Hong Kong, snappy dialogue, and different paranormal beings called Dragon Kings...still figuring out this world. It has different clans and being on the edge of extinction. So cool! I'm a happy reader. Back to the action or some sexy times! ;)

These characters are awesome. It's like DEFIANCE's Irisa hooked up with Spider-Man.

This is either going to fast for me to understand or I am missing something.

Loved it, though I can see where readers were lost...Not much of a setup for the series so much as a teaser.
