Writing style is bringing this down a bit. It is not a good sign when I am pulled out of the story trying to figure out if the logistics and details being given are actually possible. I find myself asking "is he Gumby?" " How did he lift he like that from that position?" I want to be engaged in the story not the minutiae.......

Boring, overly dramatic prose. Why you two words when you can use 17? Don't really much care about these people. Must everything hit them like a ton of bricks, a bold of lightening, a punch to the gut...ugh!
