Status Updates From Werewolves of Brooklyn

I’m definitely skimming at this point... pages upon pages of housing and building structure descriptions, redevelopment issues, gentrification, etc is not why I picked this book up

Parts of this story make me think of the comic, The Darkness. Loving the approach to the mythology and the way Darien's self discovery unfolds.

This is the most hipster book I have ever read. Earnest artisanal butcher and hunky gay man Darien meets a society of gay werewolves who are systematically eliminating greedy slumlords and developers who would change the essential old fashioned and authentic character of their neighborhood in Brooklyn. It's a fun read, though.

I'm not really sure about this. It's nice to read Darien's thoughts but I feel like I'm still in a psychedelic trance with him.

Packs of feral, fetal-alcohol syndrome kids had been his hunters in his childhood – at least wild animals were more predictable.---Hmm WTF, O_o.
