NOT GONNA LIE, this book js clunky at some parts and i’m still confused about the layout of this bookstore-apartment situation (might just be a skill issue on my part ????) but this romance is making me reallllllll buzzy so i’ll let it cook a bit

Nope. I‘m out. Can‘t do it. These two don‘t know anything about each other but are soooo in love? Nah.

I find it curious that John’s previous job has not been mentioned at all apart from the year’s leave. My guess is that it might somehow be connected to David’s current situation. But I hope I’m wrong on this.

This story comes close to insta-love and anyone who knows me knows how much I dislike it. The actions of the characters feel driven by plot and not natural to their personalities. Not sure I’ll finish this.

All these relationships and interactions between characters are weird.

I *really* dislike it when an author switches from a character’s POV to another one between paragraphs.

Mixed feelings. This book is like a person you met with kinda ok 1st impression, then you realized this one doesn't make sense occasionally, but decide to ignore it and keep hanging out as this one is harmless.
I don't think the writing it very good (the POV switch is particularly disturbing), but it's not too bad overall. I will finish it but will not go for sequel.
