It's odd I should be in love with yet....

Tried hanging in there but this was not it. The MMC having a stutter and speech difficulties alongside the FMC being a Midwife is why I gave it a shot as long as I did. But too many hurdles. Background for the MMC didnt feel solid and the FMC being 26 and a Midwife for 10 years and working with high level clients was a big nopester. Midwifery takes years of learning/practice. Dialogue wasn't it either.

We left off Book 2 with this epilogue. This book lifts a significant portion from the epilogue and turns it into the prologue. Once that ends, we are flung back a year. It just bogged down the story. The pacing was jarring. I didn't get anything new. I was anticipating this, but now feel like it's all calculated detachment. I'm disappointed

Reading the blurb I thought it was going to be a singular romance but it's not. It's another multi-pov focused on 3 couoles. Now that 362 pages is looking small. Getting bored not getting more of the main couple.
