If we are being honest this sets the tone for his entire book. We already know that Priest will provide people with enough rope to hang themselves but also atone. He feels it is a mercy and apart of his order and vengeance he is serving God. I don't know why people feel that he took to long to handle business.

I wish Prime still moved as a protector but paused intimacy until trust rebuilt. 50-leven things going on and the MCs I care least about

Going into this skeptically I'm glad I read up to 17% but it's also a reminder as to why I wasn't gagged or excited by the end of Book 1 to move forward.

It's odd I should be in love with yet....

Tried hanging in there but this was not it. The MMC having a stutter and speech difficulties alongside the FMC being a Midwife is why I gave it a shot as long as I did. But too many hurdles. Background for the MMC didnt feel solid and the FMC being 26 and a Midwife for 10 years and working with high level clients was a big nopester. Midwifery takes years of learning/practice. Dialogue wasn't it either.
