This book is weird. First it was a 30 year old falling in love with a 15 year old and now it's a 33 year old fucking a 15 year old and it all seems so normal. Am I missing something here?

Also not be shady but some of the sentences here feel pro Israel 😬

I'm actually so sick of reading seemingly strong FMCs, but when it's a life or death situation, they always need saving.

Why did the book description just spoil the entire novel?? She's only now just escaping from the pack, and from what I'm reading, it looks like she'll be found pretty quickly. I feel bad for all the scavengers that helped her.

Why are they talking about their travels when they have literally just found out that Kade had been abused for years?? What is going on here.

The way these last 20 or so pages had me in such a grip. The tension that was brewing and the cat and mouse between Raskolnikov and the detective with the play on words and the philosophy woven in between...it was all so good!!

I almost couldn't believe this was the same Raskolnivov that was delirious with terror with all this cunning he showed.

Why does Dostoyevsky feel the need to use 50 different names for one character. Got me looking up names only to find out it's the same person.

Questo libro mi sta piacendo molto più di quanto pensassi anche se lo sto leggendo molto più lentamente di quanto lo avrei fatto in inglese.

This is exactly why Hilo is my favourite character in all this.

I feel really bad saying this, but the story is not hitting right. There's nothing objectively wrong with the book, I think the writing is awesome, but it's not gripping me the way I expected.
