It was a very Outsiders evening - wore saddle shoes and a leather jacket (and a hair bow with cherries on it) to Dairy Queen, and listened to retro music (a decade late, but hey) while watching the sunset on the way home 🙂‍↕️

It was the last week of January – the days of the blackbird, the Italians called it – and it was cold.

So I'm co-hosting a blog party with another author (Savannah Jane McCrary) to celebrate our respective WWII books (there's more details on my website) and I need y'all's help! We're planning an interview with our characters, so if you have any questions for the WGOT guys, send them to me! I was never a "girly girl", but when I was younger I loved Angelina Ballerina and the Nutcracker, and I once surprised my mum by saying I wanted to be a ballerina. 😂 Well that little-me dream is gonna get fulfilled, because my sweet friend is taking me to a performance of Cinderella tonight. 🩵 It's the first ballet I've ever been to and I'm so excited!

I was reading more Battalion records for research last night, and in one of the operations there was a recon unit codenamed . . . Pony Boy.

Sodapop was the one who was supposed to go to 'Nam, but it looks like Pony was there instead.

They were also eating cake for the Marine Corps' birthday.

I'm reading military Battalion records (it's for research) and I'm LAUGHING because of some of the stuff they record 😂

Most of what I write is Christian historical fiction; I've also forayed into non-magical fantasy. They're all kept appropriate for YA and often younger. Sorry not sorry, none of them are romantic; I much prefer action. ;)
