I’m FINALLY on part 2!

I’m just not reaching the 200 pg mark & the rest of the 800+ pages is starting to feel really daunting! I typically LOVE big books. At least when they are written well. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that this will take a turn for the better really soon.

Page 240 out of 515 pages & the bad guy’s identity has already come to light….? Idk if it going to ruin the book. I feel like this twist should have come much later. Like maybe the end…?
Ya know the big twist! The big betrayal!

I thought this was going to be an adult romantasy but that did not turn out to be the case.

Going into this I didn’t know this was fan fiction.
I thought I was getting a completely original story. It took me a little bit to move past it.

Is it just me or is this story in many ways a lot like Outlander…?

The crook & flail…. Incredible weapons but how the hell did he know they were there….?
I definitely missed a conversation at some point.

There is a ton of stuff going on. Never a dull moment.

I know everyone of saying they love carrion with kingfisher but Carrion by himself is perfect! He is by far my favorite character!!!

I’ve been busy so it’s taken me a while to get here but the story is almost complete & all the secrets are to be revealed!!!

I’m trying to figure out how to change my notifications. I only get them if someone comments on my posts. I’d like to get notified if friends post stuff too. I don’t see anything in setting for it though.

What is everybody else seeing that I’m not?
I hate to do it but I think this might go into my dnf. I’m just not connecting with the characters. Not even Darrow. I might try it with audiobook. Maybe giving Darrow a voice will help.
It kinda sucks cuz I really like the premise of the story but I’m just droning through it.

I’m just not sure….. I don’t know if I like all the wired language choices. It’s a mix of really old fashioned English, new made up English and some Greek god names thrown in for good measure. It’s wired.
I start to feel like I’m grasping the vibe it’s trying to give then I lose it.

It’s time…. I have to put I’d down. I have things to do. I’m just eating it up. I’ll probably finish it tonight though.

I tried to finish the Mortal Instruments series before I startled this but I only got through book 3. Couldn’t force myself to read the last 3 books. 😬 Not my favorite.
It just sucks because there are a lot of Mortal Instruments references in this one.
I REALLY liked the Infernal Devices series (it’s so much better) so I’m hoping this one will at least live up to that.

I am definitely enjoying book 2 more then I did book one. Thanks to everyone who has been posting about the series lately it gave me the push I needed to give it another try.

I’m really enjoying the character growth in book. It’s even funny at times.
