A charismatic, loud mouthed ignoramus with a dogmatic belief in his own supposed genius rides a wave of propaganda and false populism into a seat of power. Over time, he surrounds himself more and more with sycophants and cowardly yes men, builds concentration camps, starts ill advised military conflicts and stalls his own economy, causing ramifications that last generations.

Approaching half way through, Howard finally starts to find his voice, and finds consistency with his characters and language.
