I love this so much. Debating if this is the best book I've read all year.

I love how Maggie has brought up Isekai novels a couple of times already, especially, since I like to read those too. It's helping to make her super relatable to me, and it's made this story so much fun. I really love the characters, and the plot is shaping up to not only be a tall order, but really epic. <3

I remember book 1, but not in its entirety, which may mean trouble down the road for trying to remember a plot I read a year and a half ago. I probably should have did a reread to freshen up, but...oh well. Here goes nothing. :) I do remember the 1st book being hilarious, and so far, book 2 continues that trend.

I'm only on chapter three, but I'm already in love with this story.

Well, the author's note addresses the reader as 'Babydoll' not once, but twice. Once is a quirk of the eyebrow from me, two is a grimace. Pray that this is not my sign from the universe that when I wait a whole year for books, that they tend to disappoint me.

Why is this so long??? It's not...bad per se, but it's not good either. This book needed some serious editing. Some of the conversations between characters are messed up. Logan speaking, then his brother, and back to him, but it all reads as if Logan said it all. Happens multiple times. This book is burdened by inaction and too many minor and mundane things/details to be exciting. It is throwing the pacing way off.

Any chance I can get to see Cam and Jordana, I will take it.

The author needs a thesaurus badly. There are only so many times "satisfaction" can be written before I want to pull my hair out and scream. There are other words! There are! Please use those! (Kindle says it's used 16 times in the book, but I just read it three times in like...5 pages, so it's not spaced out either. )

Honestly...not sure I'm feeling this one. I don't understand how two people want to be together and one is just throwing up stop signs purely for the sake of throwing up stop signs. It doesn't make sense. Is she, or is she not, a full-grown woman? If a guy wants to date her, and she wants to date him, then what is the problem?

I didn't even make it through the sample and decided to bite. This is pretty freaking funny.

Harper is one of my favorite characters, so I'm over here begging the book gods that my guess on her is wrong. She's too awesome sauce.

Calista's BFF Harper is a riot. I love it when we have good side characters to make the story more interesting.

I don't normally read YA, but i've had this on my TBR for years, and recently i bought a physical copy of this. Today just happens to be the day i decided to give this a try. So far, its pretty interesting even if the history of this world and some of the terms are vague in meaning for the reader right now. I.E. 'in preparation for the Second Drowning'. Is it a come to Jesus type event, a War, etc. ?

2 books in one. Cursed King, and Cursed Queen. Cursed King was good, but I'm feeling like we could have let it end there with a nice epilogue, as it was all perfectly wrapped up. Not sure why i needed a second book, but ok. We shall see I guess.

Its funny, but sloooow. Not much has happened.

This is actually turning out to be really lovely. The adventure is so much fun, and i'm enjoying the bits of interjected history. Adam is such a swoony hero, and Ellie is a lot of fun. The way the Author changes the writing style between POVs really gives each character their own distinct voice and makes the reading enjoyable.

I heard "Gives The Mummy Vibes" and was like, 'yup, grabbing this one up!' The writing is a bit on the dry side, even though the story is charming.

I've had this sitting on my TBR for what feels like forever. We shall see if its as good as the review I've seen, said it is.

I hate Amanda. She's annoying and avoidant to the point of stupidity. We can do 'I don't want to be vulnerable' without being nasty and without running away. These books are so 'me me me, I, I ,I' that i cannot jive with these characters. Declan is....ok, but he comes across as a teenager and not a 32 yo man. This started out in a good place, but like the others its all downhill from there.

"Sweetheart, I don't think we're in South Carolina Anymore." Love the spin on a classic line, and in a 'fell into another world' book too. I think I'm already having a better time with this one than book 1 in the series. I will say, that if Alder the Toxic Ex is a contender for our leading lady's HEA, i will riot. That man...just comes across as the worst sort. he doesn't deserve either redemption or her love.

How has nothing happened yet? No seriously. 206 pages in and we are just cycling through hormones. I still don't know these characters, and I'm searching but haven't found the plot yet. Unless shredded pants, abs, and weirdly intense lust are somehow the plot.

I'm just now noticing how long this book is. 538 pages?! So far, its...ummm...spicy to say the least, but I'm wondering how this will fare as a longer book as opposed to a novella. So far I'm not seeing a real plot to make this worth it being a full-length novel.

I get the feeling this might be the most unhinged S.J. Tilly book to date. Can't wait to find out.

I'm hoping I'm not spending the rest of this book with these characters below ground in such a miserable place. Also, I'm not a fan of star-crossed lovers in the first place, and while this is just barely under the line of frustrating, I'm hoping I'm not spending the next 50% with them pining for forever with one another and being denied it all up until the very end.

How is it I'm almost halfway through this book and like...nothing has really happened? Part of the reason I hate Trilogies, that aren't standalones, is because book 1 hooks you, book 2 is a lot of nothing, and book 3 is usually taking too long to just wrap it up. I don't know why I though this one would be any different.
