I'm only 50 pages into this and I've cried & felt so seen. If you are in a long term relationship, married with kids I highly recommend reading this book. It is not a traditional romance book where the guy gets the girl, it's saving your marriage when life takes its toll and you stop fighting for each other. Ugh this is already a 5 star read ⭐

This is actually so painful, I've cried so hard at times I physically can't catch my breath. It's SO good but it hurts SO bad. I actually can't remember the last time I read a story where I wasn't super invested in the romance more than I was the main characters plot/backstory, poor Alara just needs a break and I love Rohan so much but I'm genuinely just rooting for her happy ending and healing 💔😭

I wish there were more interactions between Meryn and Stark outside of sex. ☹️ The book and story it's self are so good but their relationship is lacking something for me, you don't really get much of them unless they are intimate. Which is like 3 times. The yearning in book one was top tier and this is super insta lovey !! ☹️

Okay I'm getting a little emotional reading this. I hated Jade so much but the depth to her character is insane... I knew there was a reason she acted the way she did but I didn't think it was anything like this. This is so real and raw and I relate so much internally. I'm not that far in and I can tell this is going to be my favorite book out of the series

Oh shit ya this is freaking dark that prologue had me UNCOMFORTABLE but for some reason it's the darker books that always get me, so I will enjoy this! I went from hating Caden in the prologue to thinking "hey he's just a normal guy" in chapter 1 so ya I'm gonna get whiplash forsure 🤣

I understand Aoife, I do not I'm a little annoyed with her character thinking Joey is just an asshole that "dumped her" for no reason.. she's seen what goes on in his house and seen the things he has to deal with and he's told her that he's doing it to keep her safe and she's being a brat about it. It genuinely is making me angry even though I understand she's hurt
