Well, this start is a complete mess. We have a grumpy, grade-A prick and misogynist at worst who doesn't know how to say "sorry." He also thinks buying coffee and pastries is enough as an apology. 🙄

I changed my mind. This one was originally shelved as "not for me", but I'm in the mood for some rage-reading. I’m not going to rate it, though, because that wouldn’t be fair.

I can't believe I have to say this, but if you're going to copy MY review, word for word no less, maybe give me some credit??? After all, that's mine. I'm not a great reviewer, not even close. But these words are my thoughts, and I took the time to organize them. And tbh, it would've been respectful to ask for permission. My gawd. 😑

I don't mind pregnancy in my books, but it really pisses me off when the FMC keeps it a secret, especially from the MMC. Why is she hiding it at all? The guy deserves to know the truth. Ugh! Seriously, Petra. I want to shake you so bad. 🤦‍♀️

Are you kidding me? How long will he play this stupid push and pull game? I liked Gray in the prior books, but he's really pissing me off here.

And the worse, we just found out he'd only been celibate for 2 MONTHS, while it's been 2 YEARS for her!!! WTF is this imbalance crap?! Am I supposed to swoon that he never thought of OW since meeting her?!

2 mos != 2 yrs. Make that make sense. 😤

Second chance. One of my most disliked tropes ever, but I'm curious, so… One thing's for sure, I'm not holding out high hopes.

Also, I skimmed it and found out neither of them were celibate during separation (thank you, universe). But let's see if she ever had fulfilling sex after him, because most of the time women don't. 🙄 It's like the Hs have become the gold standard, and no one can compare.

Oooh, really? Is this supposed to make her feel better? Why won't this dumb man believe his wife? At this point, he still chooses to side with the witch.

And readers are supposed to wait this last quarter to see how he would make up for his stupidity. 🥴

Ugh. I swear every FMC in this series has a depressing and rage-inducing backstory. I really can't stand damsel in distress, and this series has that in spades. I hope I'm wrong, but I have a gut feeling this would be a rinse and repeat of prior books. 🤷‍♀️ But what does it say about me that I keep reading, hoping for something different??

Well, this is yet again another story in which the MMC knew the FMC was the one (his true love), but still made her life miserable. Bullied her in high school, threatened anyone who expressed interest in her, while he dated and flaunted girls in front of her. What's up with these books anyway???🤦‍♀️🤧

Erm, is this book going to be filled with lust the whole way through??? Because I feel like 500+ pages is just way too much for something like that. 🙃

Welp, there have been two OW already! Just freaking great. I caaan't stand jealous FMC, and I absolutely detest the MMC reveling in her jealousy. I didn't know what I signed up for when I started reading this. But I'm committed to seeing this through, and I fully expect it to only get worse from here. 🙄 Yuuup, I'm definitely hate reading now.
