I initially enjoyed the story, but the last 50 pages felt like filler. The characters seem aimless, moving from place to place without a clear in-story explanation why, because it doesn’t seem to matter. I'm puzzled about their motivations. There's a significant event, but the narrative lacks insight into the world's response. The main characters aren't engaging with the situation in an interesting way.

Really Gene?

I have to say. This book started out great, I was really into to it. But the last 15% has been detail after detail of making the space station crazy bigger and well crazy. And now I'm tired of it. This book is large so 15% and counting of pretty much nothing but enlarging the space station and all the related actions and conversations about it that act as filler are starting to seriously bore me.

The only thing I can say so far is the Svetlana's longterm attitude and handling towards Bella is just freaking ridiculous. And how everyone is just kinda excepting is is damn near unbelievable.

Loving this story so far

The characters are so one dimensional it's crazy. I mean really? The thought processes of these characters are killing me!

I can't believe how large this book is. And how long it's taking me to finish it

I know people rave about this book but right now it's slow going for me. I will soldier on!
