And also the geometric properties of triangles. How they are the building blocks of the bridges.

Having implemented a lot of modern deep learning framework by hand, I can appreciate this work differently. Hofstadter is not a prophet. And he is openly honest.

This book is quite outdated, but still most of the problems mentioned is still unsolved.

The way he does the speculating, is interesting, original, and deep.

Let's see where he goes from here.

Really well done and well explained. Learned new things. And those were "basic" things- not advanced math.

I am really happy that I picked it up.

Author does a great job of explaining grouping, universality, and separation of neurons in the brain through the analogy of an ant colony. It makes more sense in some places than others. I am always skeptic of usage of analogies.

Fanstastic book. It tries to convey what the Buddha himself taught- just as the title suggests.

And that too, based on authentic suttas from the Tripitaka.

This is a very nice book. The author's commentary is always in line of the Buddha's teaching.

Proving to be very useful and practical. But, as any other self-help book, the number of pages are inflated to help the author, and not the reader. But this book does that to a lesser degree, and I am thankful.

খুবই ধ্বজামার্কা। পড়তে বিরক্ত লাগছে। কিন্তু শেষ করব। যেভাবে সিরাজের চরিত্র ও অপদার্থতাকে হোয়াইট ওয়াশ করতে চেয়েছেন তা হাসির উদ্রেক করে। এটা ঠিক যে ক্লাইভ লম্পট ছিল না বা সিরাজের মত লোকের বউ নিয়ে টানাটানি করত না, কিন্তু ক্লাইভ ও বিশাল বড় চোর। ব্যক্তিগত চুরির কথাই বলছি। কিন্তু এখানে তিনিও সাধু। এ যেন আধুনিক বলিউড। চোর, লম্পটদের লন্ড্রি মেশিন।

It does not have a greatness to it. But it is enjoyable. And unique.

Another great creation by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. I am glad that I decided to read this. His prose flows so smoothly.

I cannot wait to learn enough Spanish to be able to read Marquez in his language.

Deep and profound. Markquez is easily the greatest non-English, non-Bengali novelist to me.
