Embarassing myself bc I have to get my Goodreads credit for every book 🥴

It’s very good

I’m stuck about 6/8 of the way through because it is so sad :(

“Suffering is not an intellectual matter that needs answers. It is highly personal…Suffering is a relational matter and it is a time to speak honestly to the Lord and to remember that the fullest revelation He gives of Himself is through Jesus Christ, the suffering servant.”

These moments were only an extraordinary quickening of self-consciousness… and, at the same time, of the direct sensation of existence in the most intense degree. Since at that second he had time to say to himself clearly and consciously “yes! for this moment, one might give his whole life”, then without doubt that moment was really worth the whole of life… what was he to make of that reality?
