I’m ready to be done with this book. And I know it was probably worse in reality. Disgusting. Some of y’all’s granddaddies were front and center at somebody’s lynching, smiling like the damn Cheshire Cat 😡

Mona is always saying something slick and Baby just brushes it off with the excuse that her friend just says what's on her mind. No baby, your friend is shady and don't really like you. How can she not feel this girl's jealousy? And even if she couldn't, why would she let her friend get away with making her feel like that all the time and not putting her in her place? I'm getting mad.

And why would she agree to let Baby stay in her & Memphis house when the only reason she got him is because she's pushy ended up pregnant? She knows Memphis interest wasn't on her. She clearly doesn't love him, but she wants to keep him for the lifestyle. So why risk him being in the company of the woman he really wanted when you bogarded your way into his life with your cooch and a baby?

I know Baby is a sweetheart, but I'm not believing that she's this naive to think this bitch is her friend. Since they are so different, I feel like their friendship would have to be deep and genuine for the relationship to even sustain. There's no way she's this oblivious to the fact that her friend is a hater.

I thought I was ready for this book. I don't know what the hell I was expecting, but I should have mentally prepared for this.

This lady is how ever many years older than Ocean, you mean to tell me right after breaking up with her man this dude starts off with all this sex talk and she just sniggling and giggling? This is a great book. I've read it twice before but I'm listening this time. This lady's fucking mouth noises and swallowing and shit is gonna drive me crazy. And I like her voice. But somebody shoulda edited that shit out. My misophonia is kicking in chile.

Why is Eli so sensitive about the Jake thing? He knows that affected her and he won’t give her details that might help make sense of the situation. Kai’s mad he wouldn’t let her whoop Angelyns ass after throwing that drink and called her ratchet. She threw the kidnapping in his face and now he wants to divorce her. And she’s pregnant. How he go from perfectionism to hasty in one I ncident?

I refuse to remove this from my currently reading. I am determined to finish this book. How are you unable to finish a book you actually want to read though?

Every time I think it couldn't get more annoying. Decker has been undercover for years trying to take the Torians down for trafficking. Now all the feds are at a funeral about to arrest somebody and he acting confused. And Kira's like "Do something!" What the fuck he gonna do? I'm scared to find out how she is gonna write them out of this big bust that's been in the works the whole time Decker has been in the crew.

The woman sounds like she needs some goddamn Carmex! I need this book to hurry up! Too late to DNF.

Then these fucking narrators aren't making it better. Jesus.

I haven't read a book this annoying in a while. Why the fuck would Decker be working as a federal informant to avenge his sister, then when he blows his own fucking cover because he's a goddamn idiot, he would rather risk a bullet than tell Cole about her when he's given the chance to explain. I don't see how the same author wrote the first book in this series. These characters are insufferable.
