This book has way too many passages written in retrospective to be enjoyable. Most of the action is done and we just get to hear about it in a rushed “here’s what happened” passage: engagement, getting rid of two main characters, zombie resolution. We don’t get to read any of it as it happened.

Really confusing so far. Lots of odd new people and everyone old is acting weird.

Grow the heck up, Maggie. Geez, she's such an insecure, insensitive lout.

Not even close to the action of the rest of the series. I’m not enjoying the slow pace nor the rather annoyingly flat main character.

Really good! The first 75% of the book is a collection of short narratives about paranormal events the authors have experienced. The end is a short vampire novella.

Excellent premise! The perfect way to get sucked into life in the Billionaires club with a true claim but no prior experience.

Zombies!

So many great visuals in this fantasy book! Sandis and Rone are both scrappy young people trying to survive in a filthy, industrial society. Even their small advantages may not be enough to see them through to their goals.

Ugh, so many J names! They make the characters hard to keep straight. Great mystery so far, though!
