Another book I have only come across because of the Book Riot Read Harder challenge.

I can't bear this right now. I might come back to it later.

I purchased this book when it was a Kindle Daily Deal. Scotland, Spanish Civil War and women's history sounded like something I would enjoy but the writing is repetitive, the dialogue incredibly wooden and the women repeatedly fall for the one vile man. Make it end.

This is so dry I'm struggling to get through it.

I am so sick of this book. I find Charlie utterly unlikable and knowing that someone so much worse is about to enter the White House is making this more unenjoyable. Maybe it is just bad timing on my part. It isn't the holiday read I was after but I should finish it soon.

This is much funnier than I expected.
