Hmm, not sure how to feel about this since it's just getting started; however books that I have read by Canadian authours usually contain at least some research on the (US) culture. This, on the other hand, feels like it was written by someone who wrote script for 'Friends', with no idea what Canadians are actually like. FYI, although a cliché, we don't all say 'sorry' all the time.

Based on the synopsis, it sounds like a good story but, overall, I found it a little lacking. There is quite a bit that is not very weel explained, why Ben remembers some things and not others, it's all kind of brushed away and not given much of a detailed explanation.

The chapters are short, making for a nice quick read, but the whole story is a little jumpy. Things really pick up after the first 20 chapters.

I'm having so much trouble with this book and this series. I've noticed that the books tend to start slow but I'm just not a fan of these characters so I'm finding it difficult to even want to keep reading.

I don't like to give up on things, which is why I kept reading after book 1, but I also believe that if you aren't enjoying what you are reading then why are you reading it.
