Um. Ethan. This man tried to hook up with your man again, and again, and AGAIN, despite (actually) being told no (good thing Adam can't read minds though, he might have tried harder). He even said he might move to the area in part for your man. This is based on a 2-3 night hookup months ago, BTW. Want to rethink what he deserves?

The whole big deal w the kissing got so 🙄🙄🙄. Like who DID Jack love enough to kiss? His bf Hamish from decades ago who meant “so much” to him that we know, oh, NOTHING about him and why they broke up? Apart from it somehow being Jack’s fault?! (Seems on brand).

This is heart-decimating. Ethan thinks this is all his fault? HIS fault? OMG baby no, no, no. All that happened is Jack just showed you how very right your were NOT to trust him with everything. His acceptance of you is very, very conditional.

I’ve only read the first book but I suffered for Ethan countless time just reading reviews and updates 😓 I don’t thing I can do it…

Definitely read many other reviews/opinions, because I am NOT like most readers in my severe negative reactions to Jack, and I find it worth reading for Ethan, I adore him. But. Yeah. Definitely weigh your options on this one! I will say the action and plots are consistently exciting no matter what the characters are actually doing?!
I wish..but I’m almost certain I’m going to react just like you. I hate unbalanced relationships, feeling like one of the MCs is more invested than the other…Also cheating…even if it’s emotional cheating (tbh I think it can be even worse because it ruins the romance and sense of true love for me)….Im going to follow your updates to see if in the end it’s at least worth all the suffering and if there’s no doubts in your mind about Jacks feelings or commitment to Ethan 🤞

That is exactly it. But just...keep in mind my extreme adverse reaction to Jack is not shared by most people. I find that he's gaslighting Ethan sort of accidentally, is with him conditionally, and has a foot out the door the entire time, even when he SAYS he doesn't, the author then (not sure if on purpose or not?!) SHOWS you that indeed, he does. That all comes through in book 2--this book is a bridge bt books 2 and 3 and retells some of book 2 from Ethan's POV. And I knew it would kill me to read it. If you see my review of book 2...you'll see why. But. DON'T read my review if you do decide to dive in bc I uh had a lot of spoilers...! I was so enraged. 😂😎
