Finished. That have been the most depressing ending to a novel I have ever read. Lee really brought the grimdark and the depression with this one. I just...wow. I feel eviscerated.

Has finally found a man who will treat her right? I hope so, because when Lee describes a man's erection that beautifully you know he's gotta be important.

Lee going straight for the jugular. Vivia is now prostituting herself so she and Zulgaris can survive in Syr. She seems to enjoy it, even and is finally indulging her sexuality on her own terms.

Well, that's it for the witch.

Vivia is really embracing her cruel side. She's almost like her father. They grow up so fast.

This has kind of lost its Gothic tone, but it's still a fairly grim story.

Oh, God! She gave birth to a gargoyle thing!

Vivia just does not care anymore.

R.I.P Gula vampire. You deserved better.

And now half the city has been ignited in flames before a cannibalistic started feast. What next!?
