Just finished chapter 2 on socialist "satanism".
I think it's intresting how satan was used by different authors as a hero for the working class, (and thus God as a protector or the status quo, and the rich), since this "working class hero" is also a role taken on by Jesus. However were satan was also connected to womens rights (Genesis 3) ...well Jesus... not so much a feminist

Actually I'm only on page 133, but I decided to move to the last two champters, because I had a feeling that Faxneld saved the best for last. And finally a dource that truly livebup to the books name. The story of Mary maclane, which this chapter deals with in detail, is the diary of a 19 year old girl, who praises the devil and devour herself to him. It's giving the satanic bible but if Lavey were a gay teen girl

"Women and men are but souls temporarily incarnated in female or male bodies, and that even in particular lifetime many women are more male than some men and vice versa. It is therefore inappropiate to impose special restrictions of any kind on women" this is pro trans anti-gendernorms statement is argued by Susan E. Gay (yes that's her surname) in 1890! Amazing

A french writer, named Bakunin, argues: "if God is, man is a slave; now man can and must be free; then, God does not exist." He uses this as proof that there is no god, and while it doesn't proof anything, as it's flawed, it still brings on an intresting frame for discussion. Cause in this world he sees there are 2 options: we create slavery upon ourselves to a fictional God. Or God exist and we are slaves by nature.

The snake in the garden of eden, often being depicted and describes as a female (with female head, sometimes breast) is a slay, and also kind of gay? Weirdly but still

Never thought I would be ecxited about a history book, but I guess it's different when it's about women who are defying patriarcy, religion and being wonderfully weird💕
