TEXT to TEXT: I notice that there are some similarities in diary of a wimpy kid and this book, they are both basically a diary turned into story form, they both talk about there middle school life. TEXT to SELF: I noticed that this book is similar to me because I am in middle school too. TEXT to WORLD: I noticed that this is similar to things that happen in real life, like kids going through changes in middle school

characterization:The character is feeling stressed because there is a big upcoming art project for his school and he doesn't know what to draw for it, the character goes on a field trip to a art museum to look at other art pieces and hopefully get inspired, the character says that they are not inspiring at all but his friend gives him a book on art, and he thinks that its pretty inspiring and use it for his project

point of view: the point of view is rafe the main character, and currently he had just destroyed his bullies art project, and it turns out that the bully found out about it and rafe and his friend matte, got shoved into a locker, and the janitor ended up finding them later on, but rafe deided to not rat the bully out

VISUALIZE: currently in the book Rafe has a big art project for his school, and he is very behind because he had gotten suspended for ruining his bullies art project, he had also just gotten back from Christmas break and he had been very busy, and he only has 77 days until the art show, but when Rafe was working on his project his bully, matte brought him a gift, so I can visualize that they will become friends.

basically what's been happening so far is that Rafe and his friend Matt are planning to steal their bullies art sculpture, but when they're doing it one of the teachers is doing a tour and they have to hide, so Rafe hides in a trash can, but it rolls Infront of the bathroom door while one of the teachers is using it, and when he opens the door, the trash can goes flying down the stairs

the inciting incident of this book is when Rafe has to move to the city because his mom found a new job opportunity, meaning that he has to leave his school, and all his friends and move to a new school, now lucky for him tho he is a great artist so he gets excepted into a art school aka cathedral, and it is pretty good from him until he meets hi first set of bullies

i think that the inciting incident of my story is that the kid is going to get bullied, because so far in the story he made it into a new art school, and it it very different than any other regular school, like there are millions of students and the school is huge, but anyways when he is going to one of his classes, a classmate tries so pick on him, this makes me infer that he is going to get bullied.

Thus story is about a kid that grew up in a quiet town, but because his mom got a new job opportunities, they were forced to move into the city, meant that he had to go to a new school, he is also a good artist, and there is this art school called cathedral, so he signed up for a interview and surprisingly he got accepted, long story short he ended up getting accepted but since this is a big change it was difficult.

Some connections that I can make in this book is that the kid had to move from the country to the city and that's a pretty big change to go through, but on top of that he got into a art school, and it's like a really big one with millions of kids, and when it came the first day he was really surprised. He says " its never easy to just go to school fives days a week" I think that he's gonna have some trouble with that
