Part 3 spans from page 264 - 381. Part three takes place both in the city life and on the battlefield. We first visit the towns of Moscow, Petersburg and later on Lysye Gory. After that we get a detailed description of the battle of Austerlitz where the Russian-Austrian army launched a military offensive against Napoleon himself followed by his French soldiers.
This is the part I have enjoyed the most of all parts so far, getting the mixture of both city life and the epic battle sequences. I still do have the same problem as part 2 though considering the chapters where Tolstoy describes the battle. I find it hard to create an image of the battle scene with all the different and very old military language. Hopefully I get more used to this language and as of right now I am writing down a lot of words and phrases that I practice. I feel my skill slowly increasing. This is the only downside because of how much harder it makes it getting into the flow state which is so easy in the chapters portraying the city life.
