Book one complete. Finishing up with part 8 who spans from page 701 - 795.
Tolstoy brought up the pace from the uneventful part 7. We got to see a huge change in Natasja that really moved me. She have been so happy and proper throughout the whole book, so seeing her get truly heartbroken was tough. The engaged couple had a captivating love-drama whit confident bachelor Anatol Kuragin involved. My love for the book have been put in it's peek again.
I got to touch on part 6 a bit. I did no review on part 6 because of the lack of events and story development. But thinking about it, it was not the reason. I went back in the book and saw how greatly intriguing the Russian was telling us about Andrej becoming a politician. No the reason was not the chapter (witch was great)... it was myself. When I read chapter 6 I was playing a lot of video games and constantly binge watching youtube shorts. My focus was extremely bad and I found it very hard to both get interest and focus when reading. This because my brain was to toast from all the dopamine release.
This was a good lesson on my part. I will enjoy the book less when my brain won´t take in the story as well, and that is a shame when I´m reading a classic like Tolstoys War and Peace. Now I have book 2 to look forward to and it arrives tomorrow. I will not let my focus disrupt my enjoyment of the book again!
