No one expects to see AC in any place in San Francisco. I really want to know where this author is from cause she does not know this area at all.

Of all places to stay because there are cheap apartments... San Francisco doesn't seem like it would be it. There, cheap means $1300 at minimum and more likely $2000. Weird choice, author!
