reading this again. doesn't hit like the first time. key idea: grit = passion + never give up. i'm not a fan of the first chapter about how talent doesn't replace grit; drags and repetitive.

Aptitude does not matter as much as showing up and making an effort. feels a little repetitive also very distraught that my gritty score is very low

i dont like that there are so many boring analogies in between. i think this book could have been better if for each chapter/each bit of advance, theres only ONE analogy to explain the central theme of this book
