Another thing I have beef with is that it swaps from 2nd to 3rd perspective randomly and I don’t enjoy it, I understand it’s trying to get you to like feel the actions but I don’t like how the 2nd person perspective is written so it doesn’t hit at all.

You know what this book reminds me of? A shitty fanfic that hasn’t learned how to use dialogue yet, doesn’t really have anything going on, and loves to over describe literally fucking everything.

At least I’m learning everything I’d want to avoid in my own writing. Also the fact it doesn’t use quotations for dialogue just kinda enmeshes it into the paragraph and it annoys me much.
