I've just hit page 50 of 500, highlighting furiously the whole way, as I cry laughing at Miyazaki's uncannily well-observed description of the ways capital subordinates art to toy sales. Those observations still feel painfully relevant 40 years after he wrote them. If you love art or storytelling, read it. If you despise "AI-generated art", as I do, definitely read it.
