Doing my first-ever full-series reread. It's been...years since I've actually read WOK, though I still have a pretty encyclopedic knowledge of its major events. What I'd forgotten: the incredible satisfaction of each incremental step as Kaladin wins the trust of Bridge 4. There's something about his persistence against the odds that warms my heart, just as it brings the bridgemen to trust him.

No, it was more like... something Shallan was suspected of doing resulted in a situation which might make her want to do it.

Yeah.Well, it's not a huge spoiler. If I told you what the background of the whole thing was - and then what happened after - that would be a spectacular spoiler. But I'm not that mean. It was a really cool creepy awesome moment and I'd be a horrible person if I ruined it.

That's entirely possible. I'd have to watch/read Bleach to decide. Buuut the big boobs thing shouldn't be a factor, really, unless they're overused as fanservice. I mean, Hayao Miyazaki's female characters are often large-chested, and that doesn't keep him from being one of the most feminist animators around.
Fanservice with a female character would be things like... panty shots, lots of focus on cleavage, topless or bikini scenes, etc.And I definitely agree with that. Female characters should pwn their male counterparts.
That doesn't sound like a sexist work to me, then.
