“Then I am pushing through the crowd, just as I did before. Trying to shout out her name above the roar. I'm almost there, almost to the barricade when I think she hears me. Because just for a moment, she catches sight of me, her lips form my name.
And that's when the rest of the parachutes go off.”

“If I got to you once, I can do it again. And maybe next time I won’t waste my breath trying to prove the fact that I’m your equal.”
“I am the King, you realize.”
“And I’m the daughter of a deity, motherfucker.”

“Kell has only two faces. The one he wears for the world at large, and the one he wears for those he loves.” He sipped his wine.
“For us.” Lila’s expression hardened. “Whatever he feels for me, it isn’t love.”
“Because it isn’t soft and sweet and doting?” Rhy rocked back, stretching against the pillar. “Do you know how many times he’s nearly beat me senseless out of love? How many times I’ve done the same? I’ve seen the way he looks at those he hates …” He shook his head. “There are very few things my brother cares about, and even fewer people.”

“Do they always flirt with biblical quotes?" Asil asked Tad.
In long-suffering tones, Tad said, "They can flirt with the periodic table or a restaurant menu. We've learned to live with it. Get a room you guys.”

“That what I need to survive is not Gale's fire, kindled with rage and hatred. I have plenty of fire myself. What I need is the dandelion in the spring. The bright yellow that means rebirth instead of destruction. The promise that life can go on, no matter how bad our losses. That it can be good again. And only Peeta can give me that.”

Thank you, Alex and Miss Becca! Sorry! I can't seem to figure out how to get my notifications set correctly for page comments, so I seem to always miss these lately! :) I hope everyone has a wonderful 2020!
Thank you for liking the review of my book. Problems? I have gone through a lot in the last 10 years and had to retire from nursing, when I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. My husband saved my life because I had a anaphylaxis with medication for this and almost died. When I started writing this was my first book. I wanted it to be published so badly and if I ever made any money I would have given it to the society for Multiple Sclerosis. You can read it for free on Wattpad’s App. And if you do, I hope you will enjoy it. Thank you Kat. As Ever,
Mary Ellen
