"Believe in magic.

Believe in happily ever after.

Believe in the power of a good book."

A quintessential bookworm, Ana reads as much as she writes.  Ana's favorite genres include fantasy, romance, and crime.  Even better when all three combine!

Though Ana has lived in several different states, she currently calls the wilds of Northern Wisconsin home.  When she isn't working on bringing all those characters in her head to life, Ana can be found gardening, searching the woods for fairies, or laughing with her fiancé.

I've always been a huge reader; I would stop at the library on Friday after school and bring home a pile of books to read for the weekend. I started writing stories when I was as young as kindergarten, and never really stopped. For a long time, I wrote as a hobby, as a stress relief, and as a way to clear my mind. Even through all the other jobs I held, I always had the secret dream to have my stories published. The hardest part in achieving that dream was allowing others to read what I wrote. It's like letting someone hear your private thoughts. That part is still a little nerve-wracking, but now I do what I love every day.

“Children should be allowed to be children for as long as possible. But when war comes to their doorstep, there is only so much shielding a parent can do.”
Ana Ban, Reservation

“You care about this Logan?”
“Yeah,” I admitted. “I do.”
“He’s a lucky guy.”
Ana Ban, Exposed

“-I love him.
“I know. I love him, too. And it’s time to get him back.”
The small spark of hope suddenly burst forth, lighting my insides like the brightest star.
-You’ll let me out?
“Yes. I trust you to get Donovan back.”
Ana Ban, Wakening

“With the biggest and brightest smile I could manage, I waited for him to slam me against the wall and cuff me.”
Ana Ban, Abstraction

“I'm like a cup of hot chocolate on a snowy day. You also said I smelled like campfires and evergreens." -Talon to Jade”
Ana Ban, Allure of Home

“If you love me only in my dreams, let me be asleep forever.”
Ana Ban, Immaculate

“There was an immutable truth staring me in the face, and I had to stop deceiving myself. The truth was simple, and it was this.
My name is Parker Grey, and I'm a thief.”
Ana Ban, Deception

“You’re fast. Like, inhumanly fast,” I hissed at him, ripping open a box of Jelly Belly’s.
“Keep your voice down,” he admonished me, scooping up bags of gummies to slide onto pegs.
“My voice is down,” I shot back in a harsh whisper. “And you’re avoiding.”
“I just wanted to make sure you were all right. I shouldn’t have left you alone like that when you could have been in shock.”
“I’m fine,” I told him quietly, the rage slowly escaping. “But, I want answers.”
He sighed, leaning his head briefly against the metal shelf. “This is not the place.”
Pausing for a moment to take in my surroundings, a laugh bubbled up, catching us both by surprise. Sobering immediately, I shot him a sharp look.
“Name the right place, then. We’re going to have a real talk.”
Closing his eyes, he took a deep breath and I realized he was as riled up as I was.
“After work,” he finally responded, spinning on a heal to exit the aisle, leaving a half empty box of skittles in his wake.”
