is reading All I Want for Christmas is a Hitman: Loved the epigraphs and the sassy lamas. Given the blurb and the first chapter I expect a cheesy romance with Hallmark vibes. And it was exactly what I was in the mood for around the holidays. But it was so much more than that and I found myself turning the pages way past my bed time 😅

“Angela nodded, her resolve hardening. “Thank you for getting me out,” she said, her voice steady but tinged with genuine gratitude.
Kenji leaned back in his seat, his long fingers resting lightly on the edge of his thigh as his gaze turned contemplative. He stared out the window, the glow of streetlights catching the edges of his sharp profile. “That’s what you do after the milk is spilled. You bring the broom and the mop and clean the mess.”
A chuckle escaped Angela’s lips. “I don’t think Louise would appreciate being called ‘the broom and the mop.’”
Kenji turned back to her, his eyes glittering with amusement as a faint smirk tugged at the corner of his mouth. “Perhaps not. But let’s be honest, she did clean up the mess rather spectacularly.”
