Hi, my name is Stephanie Anne!

I’m an oddball extraordinaire, and I love all things strange and monstrous. Specializing in disturbing and domestic horror, I enjoy making people uncomfortable.

My stories may not be scary in the “jumpscare” sense, but after reading one of my books you’ll never look at certain every-day things the same way again. If you like unsettling tales of torment and trauma, you're in for a treat.

My writing assistants are Minerva, Finn, Bubs, and Janey. Unfortunately, these free-spirited felines like to sleep on the job. That is, when they aren’t stepping on my keyboard and adding extra words to my books.

Stay Spooky!

I enjoyed the overall premise, both before and after the twist, yet the story always felt like it was missing something. During the middle of the book I felt like there wasn’t actually a lot happening in the story dragged on. For the chapters that

As a horror fan, I do prefer Kingfisher's horror novels, but this is probably my favourite fantasy of theirs. Retelling older stories/fairytales is Kingfisher's strong suit, and the added horrific elements to this particular retelling were delight

My sister recommended this one to me and at first I didn’t really enjoy it it. The characters all felt like the kinds of people my sister associates with (we have very different lifestyles) so I really didn’t care about any of them. But the more the ...more

Story content aside, it's evident from the blurb on the front, as well as a line from the book itself, that Funaro is a fan of "The Silence of the Lambs". There were notable similarities between some of the plot points and character types, right d

This was a fun pot-boiler kind of read. And don't get me wrong, I love a twist ending, but the fact that the book was veering towards a twist was obvious. That being said, there were some solid red herrings that left me contemplating multiple poss
