“I'm going insane. That's the only explanation for any of this. I'm going insane and the men in white coats will be showing up at any moment to tell me this has all been a psychotic delusion. They'll take me away and lock me up, and I'll be free to drool in the corner of my padded cell for the rest of my life without a care in the world. "
"But then you'd never see me again," Caleb reminded her with a wink.
"Really? Can I get that in writing?”
― Scorched

“What is it? Why are you staring at me like that?” my voice sounded very rude and impatient but like his father, Aranhil portrayed the same understanding and kindness through his eyes.“I was just thinking how can someone as beautiful as you contain so much conflict within?”
“Can you stop with your teasing? Just say what it is you mean. I’m not in the mood for games.” His smile was sweet as he pulled me to a stop. Facing me, he put his hand gently on my cheek, caressing it softly.
“Anna-Belle, I mean what I say. You are not only beautiful, you are the most exquisite creation that I have had the honour to come across. You may not know this, but I am well on my way of falling in love with you.”
.
“When I saw the book on your bed last night I knew what you were planning. I couldn’t let you go off on your own, unprotected so I set this whole thing up. I don’t care how mad you are, I’m not leaving you and neither are your friends. You saved my life now let me protect yours.” As he said those last few words he bowed down to me. I was seriously not use to this at all. Flutters went by and the silence grew. The conflict in my head became too much for me to bare so I gave in.- The Rose of Cavendish
