I'm not really going to write a biography. Though I am supportive of the high schools and colleges I have attended, it's probably not actually the most interesting stuff about me. I'm going to do a list of five really random things instead for now.

1) I like making lists. It's weird, and I never actually scratch things off of the list.
2) I sing and dance in the car like a maniac.
3) For the first six years of my life, I truly believed a shark lived under my bed. I watched Jaws at too young of an age.
4) Without a doubt, I am a night person. I am enormously grumpy when first woken up in the morning.
5) When I was younger, I read almost every Nancy Drew book, both new and old. I had a notebook, and I would take notes to see if I could figure out

Even in high school and college, I started at the end of my papers and worked my way backwards as I wrote them. If I knew where my ending point was, I knew what points I needed to hit in order to get there. I think about most things in that regard.

With this book and even the series of three books, I knew from the beginning where I wanted to each of the characters to land and what obstacles would force the characters to grow and change. Writing is the easiest part of the equation for me.

If you don't know where to begin or get writer's block, start writing a different chapter or part of the piece of the paper. Readers may read from begin to end, but writers don't have to write in that same linear fashion.(less)

There will always be plenty of people who tell you that you can't do something. Be the person who can and does. Second, believe in what you write. Holding On and Letting Go isn't my first book; it is, however, the first one I loved enough to publish. Write something that matters to you. It's not work if you love it.

I don't consider myself a writer or author. I consider myself to be someone who really enjoys writing. I refuse to put myself in the same category as my favorite authors, and it takes away some of the pressure.(less)

To be honest, I don't know where to start except to acknowledge that I have not blogged in a really long time. Anyone who knows me knows that I frequently ask and answer my own questions, so here it goes.

1. Did I ever stop writing entirely?
Absolutely not. Some people need to visualize things. I need to write through things to make sense of them or at least attempt to make sense of things.
