Goodreads asked D.G. Allen:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

D.G. Allen The easy answer is wine, Beatles and/or Frank Sinatra if it gets real bad. But, honestly when I'm horribly stuck, I role play with my characters. Everyone has been in a situation where someone makes a snarky remark to you and you have no comeback until hours later - when you think "God, if I would have only said this", lol. That's writers block in a nutshell, and what I do is give my characters a chance to tell me what I should say, do, or write next. The little figments of your imagination are marvelous at inspiring you...
